2010 AGM
Written by Jamie Truong
Sunday, 25 October 2009

On behalf of the Melbourne University Futsal Club, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all of our current and prospective Club members. 2010 promises to be another exciting year for the Club.

The first order of business in 2010 for the Club will be to hold our AGM some time before the end of March. No date has been set as yet, however from today until the AGM the Club will be accepting expressions of interest from applicants to fill all of the Club’s available positions.

Through the time I have spent with the Club, as both the President and Vice-President, I have seen the Club flourish and reach heights unimaginable from our humble beginnings. Moreover, a position such as President of such an important Club has provided me with job opportunities that were once unattainable. Any position within the Executive Committee, such as President, Vice-President, Treasurer or Secretary comes with great responsibility; however like many others who have been part of the Futsal Club would know, a position of responsibility equates to opportunities that may aid you in your quest for employment within your chosen field of study.

Once again, the Club is accepting expressions of interest for all positions. Please email with your name, course you are studying, and as an option a phone number. Please feel free to email the club or call me on 0423 080 933 if you would like to discuss any of the above in detail.

Yup you got me, MU Cup Semester 2 2009 is starting this week. The fixtures for Round 1 has come out. Please click on the "League & Cup" link to find out when your team is playing and who your team are playing against. In order to make the Cup more interesting, teams of the same group for Friday Night League are not drawn together for Round 1.The venue is at UNIVERSITY HIGH SCHOOL, just across Royal Parade from uni. If your team cannot make it for that particular week, please do inform Jamie or me on the friday week before your scheduled match. Goodluck and may the best team win!!!
